What to Give, How to Give
I'm having a wonderful time writing about Pearlington and watching this fully-grown blog come to life before my eyes all in one day. I'd be glad I did this even if no one made a donation, but let's not forget we are here for the people of Pearlington. Here goes one more shout out for the donation link to the righthand side of the blog. Online donations can be made by clicking the "Make a Donation" button. Anyone who prefers to send a check can click on the University Baptist Church link also to the side of this blog to get the mailing address. Please be sure to mark checks for Pearlington.
As for how much to give, the answer is anything you can. I like the idea of going by the old walkathon rules and asking people to give a certain amount per hour or per post. We're aiming for 48 posts in 24 hours, so $24 sounds like a nice tidy amount to pledge either $1 per hour or .50 per post. If that's what you're able to give, that would be an excellent donation. If that's too much, though, $1, $5, or $10 donations also make a real difference.
