Unfortunate Change of Plans
Due to a sudden, unexpected death in my extended family, we're going to have to postpone the blogathon by one week. We're still going to do it, but it will now take place on Saturday, August 5 rather than on July 29.
We did want to do this on July 29 in conjunction with all of the other charity bloggers signed up with Blogathon 2006, but it's just not meant to be.
Have patience, please, and come back on August 5 for the 24-hour blogging.
And don't forget that you can still make a donation. There is a link on the righthand side of this blog for online donations. There is also a link to the University Baptist Church website where you will find an address for mailing in donations. Please remember to mark checks for Pearlington. The money collected will go toward purchasing building supplies for famies who lost their homes in Katrina.

I'm so sorry to hear about the change of plans, but life happens when you are making other plans.
I hope all is well and I'm glad you want to keep your commitment to this project.
As another survivor of Hurricane Katrina (and a few others), and having been through what remains of the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, I was looking forward to your stories. I'll stay tuned. Thanks!
